While my work has evolved over the years, the same fundamental drive is there; I have been working on mark-making and abstraction since the 1990s.
I draw from an arsenal of materials, aesthetic choices, and techniques.
The paintings mine a personal language of forms and patterns.
What I enjoy is the physical interaction with the materials and transformation. Heat changes the paper and canvas. Burning is a pathway to something psychological, personal, and universal: destruction and rebirth.
